How much food do we recommend?

The amount of food you we recommend depends on various factors, including the time of event, the duration of the event, the demographics and of course budget.

Here’s a general guideline to help you estimate:

For a light snack: You may want to plan for a few grazing platters dotted around or if serving tea sandwiches, quiches etc, look to have around 4 items per person.

For a moderate offering: You can increase the above quantity by 50%. Including some fruits and sweet options is always a good idea.

For a substantial serve: We recommend offering 8-10 smaller items, such as: gourmet sausage rolls, tea sandwiches, mini quiches, sliders, tortilla wraps or multiple large platters.

Remember to consider the preferences and dietary restrictions of your guests. It’s always a good idea to have a variety of options, including vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free choices, to accommodate everyone. Additionally, factors like the timing of your event (e.g., lunch, dinner, or in-between) and the presence of other food items (e.g., a full buffet) can also influence the quantity of foods you’ll need.

How many platters do I need for 100 people?

That will vary depending on the type of platter, but typically you’re looking at 12 to 15 large platters.
